I can't believe my baby girl is already 7. Where is time going? She invited some friends over for a sleepover and then an American Girl party the next day. There were lots of nail painting and makeovers going on. And since it was a record 65 degrees this weekend, the girls got to play outside too.
Allie loves right now gymnastics, softball, basketball and just doing girl things. She definitely hangs in there with the boys wrestling and competing with them though. And if she had to pick if she was a mommy's girl or a daddy's girl, it would probably depend on the day. Allie loves school and does well at it.
Being an only child, I was always close to both my mom and dad. There's just something about the mother/daughter relationship and also that father/daughter relationship. I feel like since I've had kids my mom and I have an even stronger relationship than before. I just hope that Allie and I can continue to let our closeness grow everyday. She always makes me smile and I'm always ready to listen to her sweet soft stories.
I love you Allie and Happy 7th Birthday, Mommy
