My First Ear of Corn!

Chaz ate his first ear of corn all by himself last night! He gummed that corn for nearly a half hour!. Not only did he love it, but it gave the rest of us some time to eat our supper. Since corn is now ready in the garden (and yes, I go up to my dad's garden), I guess we'll be eating a lot of corn for the next couple of weeks.

My New Kitchen & Living Room

Recently, I gave my living room and kitchen a new look. I was very fortunate; my dad painted all of it. I got new countertops and a tile backsplash. It is still nowhere close to being done. As you can see, there is barely anything on my walls. I really wanted new couches but thought it would be wise to wait until the kids get a little older. For those of you with little ones, you probably already know there is sometimes spills and puke involved on couches. Anyway, the wall above my recliner is waiting for some hopefully awesome family pictures that will be coming soon. This redecorating has been so much fun but lots of hard work too. I'll post new pictures when it's all done.

The Wizard of Oz play

Today, my mom and I took Easton and Allie to see the Wizard of Oz play at the PAC inside John Hardin High School. Sarah and Avery went too. The kids all had so much fun and was so into the show. Allie got a little scared of the mean witch a couple of times but still loved it. I have to say, I think I enjoyed it just as much (deep down I am a hard core Wizard of Oz fan too). After the show, all the performers were there to meet and greet. The kids got to take pictures with each of them. What a great time!!!

Walking and 2 teeth all at 11 months

Chaz FINALLY got some teeth in. Two at the same time at the bottom. He also started walking this month too. It's always so cute when they first learn to walk. He laughs the whole time. It's only beginning to be able to keep up with 3 kids now running around.

Allie and her goats

Allie loves spending time with her goats, George and Jackey. She feeds them everyday all by herself. Jackey is supposed to be having babies next month but she sure is not looking like it. If she doesn't, Allie is going to be sooo disapointed.

White Mills Day

Last weekend was White Mills Day and as a tradition, the kids are in the parade. My dad has restored a tractor for each of my kids. They are still too young to really understand how much work and money he has put in to each of them. Of course, this was Chaz's first year of being in it and he did great. Each year, they have tractor judging. Easton has won 3rd place the last two years and Allie won 3rd place this year. This year's trophy was much bigger than in the past. Easton was so jealous that he didn't win this year and he told Allie that he has 2 tractor trophies and she came right back with "but mines bigger". The kids have so much fun and look forward to this day every year!!! However, my dad says we are going to have to slow down on having kids because he's having a hard time keeping up with restoring tractors!

T-Ball Champions

Yes, the champions of South Hardin T-ball is the pirates!!! Easton has had so much fun this year and he has definetly learned a lot. Lots of hard work of practice and extreme hot temperatures, but it has all paid off to get those trophy's at the end. This was Easton's first year of t-ball and did pretty good. He has a short attention span and still likes to play in the dirt at times, but I guess that's still part of only being 5 years old. However, at the first game of the tournament, Easton made his first homerun. I think mommy and daddy was more excited than he was! I have to admit, I'm a little glad that baseball is over right now because I'm a little tired of being at the ballpark, but it has all been so worth it. And a big thanks to Easton's coach Darrin who has worked very hard and has done an excellent job!

Allie playing baseball

Allie just finished her first season of baseball. (Weiner League). Let's just say these games don't all go as planned but they are sooo cute to watch. The kids are 3 and 4 year olds. Of course, Allie was the cutest one out there. I don't know if it's helped that Easton plays, but she really gives it her best try and does really good for only being 3. Yes, there's been a few cryouts on the field but nothing that a ringpop or bag of candy couldn't fix. Timmy was the coach, which makes it even better. He has so much patience and does so good with the kids. She always looked forward to her games every Saturday. At the end of the season, all the kids got trophy's. We've all had a lot of fun watching these games!
