Easton's Christmas Letter

I meant to put this in my Christmas post but forgot. But thought it was too funny. Easton wrote this at school and by the looks of it, he did it all by himself. And yes, Santa Clause brought him a bike.

Allie turns 5

Allie just recently turned 5 years old. Wow, has time flown by...she is turning into a Big Little girl. I will never forget my labor with her because it was a big mess....literally. And no, not going to gross anybody out with delivery room stories. On January 6, 2006 about 9:00 that night, Easton and I had just finished off a whole bag of marshmellows. I'm not going to lie, I ate almost the whole bag myself....but....I was WAY pregnant so I had a good excuse. Timmy and I put Easton to bed and tucked him in tight. I went to the bathroom to get ready to go to bed myself and all of sudden my water broke and I mean really broke. It was everywhere. All I remember was thinking how much could really be up there. So, we got things together, dropped Easton off at mom and dad's and headed to the hospital. I put towels in my pants the way up there and was so worried about how I was going to get in there without it soaking thru my pants. Well, I made it to the elevator and on the way up, my gray sweatpants couldn't hold no more. I was so embarrased. There was a labor and delivery nurse in the elevator at the same time and she said "Don't worry about it, I see it all the time." Easy for her to say. Well, to wrap this story up, Dr. Nether's said most of the time when your water breaks, you will go into labor. Finally, by 8 a.m. the next morning and not have gone into labor, he finally induced my labor. Man, if only I had done what he had wanted and been induced the day before, the whole mess wouldn't have happened. But then I guess I wouldn't have this story to tell. I got an epidural and felt zero pain during delivery. It was an awesome experience. Little Allie Jade was 6 lbs. 5 oz.

So now Allie's 5. I have already so many memories with her. She has become quite the little mommy. She changes Chaz's diapers, gets him dressed and even washes him in the bathtub. And, unlike Easton, she loves doing all of it. Her likes right now is doing gymnastics, reading books, playing with Chaz, aggravating Easton, her Barbies, coloring and her new favorite thing is to constantly listen to music. And yes, she's definetly my daughter because she loves her new karoke machine. Allie is so easy to make happy. If she's at home all day, you don't have to go tell her to go play. She will go in her room and play with toys for hours at a time. Definetly different from the boys. She had a Hello Kitty party for her birthday at Fliptown Gymnastics. She had a blast but I think her favorite part was of course, opening presents. Here's a few pictures.
Happy Birthday Allie!!!

Now these are some fake smiles.

Christmas Pictures

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone already. And it was so much fun. It's amazing how excited kids can get. I will never forget this year because Easton, Allie and Chaz was so into Santa Clause. Christmas Eve night, they all went to bed pretty much on their own cause they knew Santa was coming. When I tucked Easton into bed, he said "Mommy, did you know Santa is the best man in Kentucky?" Then I went into Allie's room and she said "Mommy, if you see Santa in the middle of the night, wake me up cause I need to talk to him." Even Chaz was excited to go to bed. But it was all we could do to keep him from eating all of Santa's cookies and drinking his milk. Of course, throughout this whole past month, we've also been talking about the real reason for Christmas. The kids sang Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas Day. However, it was really hard for them to understand to not just think about presents! Christmas Eve, we had breakfast with my mom and dad and did Christmas. Of course, we couldn't even bring it all home in one vehicle.....pathetic! Easton's favorite gift from there was probably the deer hunting game, Allie's favorite was her Barbie pool and Chaz's was probably his wagon. My favorite gift was my dishes and Timmy liked all the new movies he got.
Christmas morning, Timmy got called in to go to work so we woke the kids up really early so that we could do Christmas before he had to leave. The kids loved what Santa brought them. It seemed like it all happened so fast; we were actually done before daylight.
Later that day, we went to Timmy's family where the kids racked up with more presents and we had a good dinner. The food is something I always look forward to. And then the next day, we did Christmas with all my family. We had a good surprise for the kids too. Santa Clause stopped by. The kids didn't know what to think. I thought the Chaz would be really scared, but he actually walked up to him and sat in his lap. Maybe since we had talked him up so much and making Santa out to be such a good guy. Santa even played Nerf guns with the boys for awhile.
But Christmas is over now.....time to get things back in order. It was so much fun and can't wait till next year when we can do it all over again.
