My Painting Projects

In the past few months, I, along with the help of my mom, to paint some pieces of furniture. I am very happy with how they've all turned out. So good it makes me want to paint more things!

My crib bench. I knew I no longer needed my crib I used with all 3 kids but I just couldn't get rid of it. Thanks to pinterest, I printed instructions and a great woodworking friend of my mom's made this bench from it. I love it! I bought the cushion but it's not quite long enough so I'm still working on that part.

This was my black coffee table my mom and I painted. It has several coats of primer and then couple coats of spray paint. And then the best part came.....glazing. The glaze brought out the distressed look. And thanks to my mom for helping so much.

This was my grandma's old cabinet that was brown and ugly. I painted it orange and love it!

I was looking to get Chaz a nightstand for his room. Mom had this old brown shelf at her house she wanted to get rid of so she painted it for me. Wasn't sure how it would turn out but I'm very satisfied with it.

Pictures From This Winter

We got new couches that we desperately needed this winter. They are power reclined so the kids have pretty much taken them over!

My two mischievous boys!!!

Allie got an award at school for demonstrating the qualities of a leader. She received it in front of the whole school; she was so proud.

Mom had this on her camera from Allie's birthday of the girls getting off the bus. Poor Easton in the very back!

Chaz's new room!!! We had a wall put in the playroom downstairs and made him his very own room. He loves it!!!

My decorating is not completely done; everything is just thrown up on his dresser (also know as the former changing table). But since ball season is now here, it may be awhile before I ever get it completely the way I want it.

I attempted to paint each wall opposite colors. Turned out great but was extra work.

The other half of the room was kept the playroom. This room stays such a mess.

Mom took the kids on a mini vacation for spring break. They went to the indoor water park in French Lick, Indiana. Then to Louisville for different things. They went with other friends. This was taken from the new walking bridge in Louisville.I loved this picture of them!

Harlem Globetrotters

Better late than never I guess. I had forgot to post these pictures. Timmy and I got the kids tickets to see the globetrotters for Christmas. It was the best time. Also, it was the first time we had ever been to the new KFC Yum Center, which is VERY nice. We had bought the passes where you get to go down on the floor before the show and meet all the players and even shoot ball with them. I totally enjoyed this myself. I hope to make this a yearly event for us!

I love this picture! Their expressions were priceless!

Project 52: Week 14

For the past several sunny days, Allie and Chaz are making mud. They fill the wagon up with dirt and then add the water hose. Easton is usually at ball practice so he's missing out but I'm sure he'll join in soon enough. My kids love the outside and they always seem to play together better when they are outside. Therefore, I like them to play outside too....less fighting usually!

Project 52: Week 13

This was Easter Sunday at Rita's with my family. Daniel brought two rabbits. (I think in hopes someone was going to take them home) And of course, Allie begged but we told her no just because of no time of being at home. She loves these little furry things and they are actually pretty cute. Easter was a great day....I'll have another post just for that day.

Project 52: Week 12

No one can even imagine how many little cars Chaz has. Easton had lots too, but since those have been passed down to Chaz, they have accumulated even more. But he plays with them more than anything else. Timmy and I are always mad from seeing cars all over the floor or stepping on one. But we'll miss that one day, I'm sure. I came downstairs to find this...

Project 52: Week 11

I came home from being gone all weekend and these were sitting on my bar. My mom had helped the kids pick them and put them in vases. They were so pretty. I cannot thank God enough for my three sweet little munchkins!

Project 52: Week 10

Nashville Bound........to the SEC tournament. Several of us headed down for the weekend to see the Cats play. Unfortunately, they lost in the first game that Friday but we all stayed until Sunday and had the best time. Lots of good food and many, many laughs. And not to mention some stories we will never forget. I'm so thankful to have all the great friends we have. I think it's important in life to have close relationships with friends. Our friends mean the world to Timmy and I. My weekly picture this week was of my "UK" nails. Maybe next year I can wear them longer.
