Christmas with the Straders and the Johnsons

Last night, we did our annual Christmas gift exchange and great food with some our great friends. The kids always have a great time together and I look forward to this night every year myself.

The Link, Johnson and Strader kids in  2012! I love all of them!!!

Sarah always has the craft idea of the party each year. This year was to paint the kids hand with glue and place them on a clear ornament. Then pour glitter on the glue. We wised up this year and did the kids in shifts. You could only imagine trying to help 8 kids at the same time painting their hands.

And last but not least, two of my best friends, Sarah and Gino. I treasure our friendship and can't wait to grow old together. Actually I can wait to grow old. But you know what I mean. We have shared so many laughs, crys, excitement, disapointments, fears and dreams together. And we just keep making those awesome memories! I'm just so glad to have you two. Santa Letters

Loved his letter. But really.....he wants peace and calmness! He's the one that usually starts all the chaos in our house.

Allie got a new bed a year ago, but she got a twin size. She keeps asking for a bigger one like Easton's and Chaz's. Hopefully she's not too disappointed Christmas morning.

Christmas Tree

Well, this is our first real Christmas Tree in the Link household. In my head, I wanted to take the kids out to cut one. But since we've been so busy and then it's been such a rainy last few days, that didn't work out. So I sent my mom and dad out to look for one while we were at work and school. They came back with a 10 foot beautiful tree. Timmy cut it down and here you go. Our first real one and I love it. And our house even smells like cedar! Can't wait till Christmas!!!

The Link Family

Timmy's mom always likes a group picture every Thanksgiving for her Christmas card. The day we did these, it was extremely windy. But it worked and here's all the Link Family.

So far in December......

Our church puts on a Christmas parade every year to kick off the bridge lighting and the holiday season. My kids had planned on riding on a float. Chaz did but Easton insisted on decorating his go-cart and riding in it. So with all the trouble of loading and decorating his go-cart, him and Allie only got to ride it in the grass before the parade started. The belt came off and smoke started rolling. Easton was SO disappointed. Him and Allie ended up just getting on the float with Chaz. But it was a really cute parade!

Here's all of the kiddos of mine and one of my great friends, Morgan. She recently had Mr. Lane who is already growing so fast. We did our Christmas the other night.

Christmas Card

I decided this year for our Christmas card, I wasn't going to stress about getting that "perfect" picture. So instead I took these before church one morning and only spent about 5 minutes on them. And man, I should really do this more often....not stress so much. The kids cooperate much better. But I love this driveway Timmy found just down from our house. The owners gave me permission to take pictures here so I'm definitely going to have to use it again sometime. I can't believe it's already Christmas time but I'm looking so forward to the holidays!!!
