The Link Animals

We actually have a new addition to our animals but I don't have a picture yet. It is probably the ugliest animal I've ever had......Allie's pet turtle, named Tiny Tim. It's really little and Allie loves it. She pets it and lets it crawl up her neck and back. Yeah, pretty gross. I've come to realize that Allie is a true animal lover. She reminds me of my cousin Candace loving the reptiles like she does. Candace always had "weird" pets. Tiny Tim is really not a bad pet, except when he got lost in the living room the other night....another story!Lulu, (the dark brown one), is 10 years old. I got her when Timmy and I were dating and she's been thru a lot. She's also had many puppies in which I made money off of. She's a little grouchy at times now, but she's our old timer. Cooter, (the yellow one), is our barking dog but we love him to death. He has barked most of his life. It drives us crazy sometimes but it has advantages too. He is for sure the laziest dog I've ever had though.Crook has been with us since we moved in. He was born without a tail and of all the cats I've had, I think he's been my favorite. He has always came in the house when we were home but for some reason I am now allergic to him so he stays outside all the time. He is always catching mice, moles or rabbits and of course brings them up to the door in the garage to show us. And last but not least, there is George and Jackey. They stay on a sugar high all the time from Allie giving them candy. She holds the suckers for them and most of the time they just go ahead and eat the stick and all. Timmy gets so mad at them when we're fishing in the pond because they literally try to eat the line off the poles. Oh well, their worth it I guess.

"Our Barbie Jeep"

Allie goes nowhere without chaz riding with her in her jeep. Thank goodness for the seat belt though. Let's just say that we only hope Allie's driving gets better before she's 16. Wide open she goes giving chaz whiplash the whole way as she starts and stops all the time. Of course, the battery always quits the farthest away from garage. I had to take this picture of her walking him up the hill after it quit. She was talking to him the whole way.

I Love Fall

November 3rd is my birthday.....and this year it's my 30th. It couldn't have been a prettier fall day for my birthday. This evening, Timmy and I took the kids outside to play in the leaves. They had so much fun. After I took these pictures and looking at them, I was laughing at what the kids are wearing, especially Chaz's pants. Thanks goodness for daycare clothes though. Easton and Timmy raked the leaves up and then they would all jump in them. It got colder as the evening went on so Timmy built a fire and burned some brush behind the house. Easton kept asking for marshmallows, which he doesn't even like after they been roasted. What a great family night. Happy Birthday to me!!!!

The Hockman Family

I had the opportunity to get to take the Hockman family pictures a few days ago. I was not going to post any because Jessica has a blog linked from mine and I figured she would post some. But sorry Jessica, I couldn't help it.......the boys were too cute for me not to put some on here. We go to church with the Hockmans and Easton and Clayton are friends. Also, Jessica and I have been friends for many years. The boys are very photogenic and I enjoyed taking these. Here are a few.

Halloween

Hope everyone had a great Halloween! My kids sure did. I think they are still on a sugar high. Easton does all that trick or treating for tootsie rolls and reese cups. He really don't like any other candy much. However, Allie LOVES candy. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure she would live off it if her body would allow her too. In the beginning of the night, Chaz didn't really know what to do, but he soon caught on what people were putting in his bucket. It didn't take long for him to just sit down and start digging into the candy. He screamed if he didn't get to eat a sucker the whole time. So, the whole time, we just let him. That's what it's all about, right? Our church does trunk or treat, which by the way is wonderful, so we did that and then to some family and friends around White Mills and home. The last stop was at mammaw's & pappaw's house where we stripped the kids costumes off & headed for a bath and called it a night. I don't know who was stickier; me or Chaz.

Carving Pumpkins

The kids are so excited about Halloween! They picked out their pumpkins from Aunt Rita's house (Wooden Farms) and couldn't wait to carve them. I'm not the greatest carver so when Allie wanted hearts on hers, I only could do my best. That night, and every night since then, the kids watch their pumpkin light up with a candle inside. Later on, Chaz was so tired he fell asleep while eating.

Cecilia Days

Mom and I took Allie and Chaz to watch the Cecilia Days parade. Easton and Timmy was in it. Chaz loved wathing it, but once he got his first sucker, he was real good. Allie liked watching the parade too, but I think her favorite part was also eating the candy.

Easton and Mason. These two have been buddies since before they were talking at daycare. They have pretty much grown up together. Unfortunetly, they attend different schools so baseball and basketball seasons is when they get to spend most of their time together now. Mason had spent the night with Easton before the parade.

Labor Day Weekend 2009

Better late than never, right? I'm a few weeks behind posting this. Labor Day weekend was so great and relaxing. As usual we camped all weekend before the cold weather hits. Camping with all three kids definetly has some work involved, but soooo worth it. Here's only a few pictures.Chaz LOVED the creek. He made it look like it wasn't super cold. He would play in it until his lips turned blue and I would then make him get out.
And of course, all the other kids loved playing in the water too.
Mommy loving on Chaz

The kids loved the swingset that was a new addition to the creek this year.

The kids eating breakfast one morning and yes Timmy and I cooked bacon, sausage, eggs and bisquits.

Easton or Chaz?

Easton had to bring in some baby pictures of him to school the other day. When I was going thru old pictures, I started seeing that Chaz really does look like Easton a lot. I think I need to make sure and put names on the backs of all my pictures.

The first picture is Easton, the second is Chaz and the third one is Easton.

Our family pictures

Here's some latest pictures of our Link family. Thanks to Sarah for snapping the ones with me in them. You have to be a pretty good friend to take family pictures with 3 kids this young. "Stressful" She did an excellent job!!! Sometimes I feel like I should maybe take the kids to a studio to have pictures taken to get some unique ones, but I truly enjoy taking all my kids pictures. Yes I get a little frazzled sometimes but it is so much fun not to mention much cheaper. In these pictures, Easton is 5 years old, Allie is 3 and Chaz is 11 months. Also, thanks to White Mills Christian Camp for letting me use the camp as our background.

School update

Well, Easton's been in school a week now. After a rocky start for the first few days, I decided to try a rewarding approach since the punishing approach wasn't working too good. The first three days of school were not good for him due to his behavior. Timmy and I were desperate on what to do. I told Easton if he could get no cards pulled for 4 days this week, he could go to the movies on Thursday. In the back of my mind, I knew this woouldn't happen but it's worth a try. Needless to say, yesterday was Thursday and he had not even one card pulled all week. Mrs. Thomas has actually been writing good notes about him. I am so proud of him. You can tell he is really trying to be good. I really didn't have time to take him to the movies last night, but I had promised so we went. He was so proud of himself for doing so good all week too. Hopefully, now we are off to a new and better start!!!

Easton's 1st Day of School

Well, today was the big day! Easton got up racing this morning ready for his first day of kindergarten that we've been talking about for weeks. I will never forget the expressions and words of excitement he was full of. He was dying to ride the bus, but of course, it's only tradition for mommy and daddy to take you on your first day of school. Or so I thouht. We took him to his classroom only for him to just leave Timmy and I just standing there all sad. He didn't even care to tell us bye since he was about to bust with happiness. It was truly awesome to see him this excited. All day long, I couldn't help but to think about how his day was going. I couldn't wait to talk with him about his first day of school. He got off the bus at pappaw's house (my dad) and was waiting there for me to pick him up. After talking to him for about 30 seconds, it was clear that he didn't have a good day. Let me rephrase that, Mrs. Thomas (his teacher) didn't have a good day with Easton. She sent a note home in his backpack that read:

"Easton's first day was a little trying for us.
He will need to follow rules better tomorrow.
I know tomorrow will be better. Mrs. Thomas"

Oh my gosh, I didn't even know it was possible to have a note sent home about behavior on the first day of school. Only Easton. Ha. Ha. Apparently, if a child is bad, they get a card pulled. They have 5 total cards, which by the 5th and last card pulled, you are in the principal's office with your parents called. Easton had 4 cards pulled. For years now, Timmy's mom and dad has told me about Timmy's school years and has even showed me notes and report cards of his that they had saved. Easton's behavior today is SO coming from Timmy. Let's just go ahead and get that clear. (Sorry Timmy, but I'm pretty sure this is true). Anyway, I guess I'm writing about this because I can hopefully look back on this day and laugh. Because lets just say, none of us were very happy campers this evening. After long talks and punishment with Easton tonight, I really hope Easton has a better day tomorrow. I love you so much Easton, but man you stress me sometimes!!!!!!
