Allie's 4th Birthday Party

The theme this year was Tinkerbell. It was a major decision for Allie to choose between a Tinkerbell or Princess party. Here's some pictures from the party where all the kids had a blast. Of course, we always have to do her birthday inside but that's o.k. We played "Pin the Tail on the Donkey", which was the perfect game for this age. Allie got lots of nice presents and enjoyed this day that she had been talking about for weeks before.

My little girl has turned 4

The big day was January 7th. Four years ago from then I was putting Easton to bed after just finishing a bag of marshmallows and my water broke. EVERYWHERE! Would never have imagined then what a precious little girl I would have now. I can't believe Allie is four years old. She has been so excited for this day to come. She asks everyday when she can go to school with Easton. It's so funny when we're little how we want to rush time so much. I could really do without anymore birthdays myself! I have so much to say about Allie. She truly is my baby girl and always will be. I see everyday how much we're alike. Here's a list of things I would like to remember about Allie at this stage in her life.

* Allie is so independent and has been since she was about a year old. She can do
things by herself that even Easton can't do yet. For example, tying her shoes. She
will sit and tie everything in the house.....shoes, sweatshirt hoods, chair
cushions, whatever there is to tie. And I definitely can't forget her being
completely potty trained by 18 months.

* Allie loves her animals. She definitely has got that from me. She takes care of her
turtle, Tiny Tim, herself. She cleans his cage, feeds him and lets him out to play.
Her goats, George and Jackie, stay on a sugar high all the time because she's
always feeding them candy. She gives them feed too when she's outside. We have to
help her water them though.

* Allie does like to whine a lot though. She is by far the worst whiner of my kids
yet. If things don't go her way, she really doesn't pitch a big fit, she just
pouts and whines about it. And oh my goodness, the mornings are the worst. She
must get this from Timmy. She is definitely not a morning person. Cranky, whiny,
cranky, whiny.....you get the point. This especially drives Timmy nuts. We're only
hoping she grows out of this.

* Allie is really getting into more pretend play. She pretends to play house and
store. She loves playing with friends her age and making things up.

* Her favorite toys right now are her dress up clothes and shoes, her new Leapster 2
she got for her birthday, "Highlight" books she gets in the mail every month, and
any type of artwork. She likes Tinkerbell, Dora and Barbies too.

This picture was taken last summer and know I have posted it before. But for some reason, it's always been one of my favorites so I thought what the heck, I think I'll just post it again. I wanted to put new pictures of Allie since she's four, but it's been too nasty outside and I really have not got all my ideas put together on how I'm going to do them. So, I will post new pictures later. For now though, Happy Birthday Allie and thank you so much for being a part of my life and mommy loves you very much!!!!

Blizzard 2010

I just had to put Blizzard 2010 just because I laugh at the news channel that they called it this. Anyway, Allie and Easton played in the snow. Thank goodness I "had" to stay in with Chaz. Figured it was too cold for him. We really need to invest in a bigger sled though. Easton insisted on Allie pulling him......didn't work very well.

Allie's Big Day Out!

Last week was Allie's 4th birthday, which I will post more pictures of that later. On my day off, Allie and I had a girls day. First, she had her first teeth cleaning at the dentist's office. She had been so excited about this. She had seen Easton get his done and also seen that he got a new toothbrush afterward. So, of course, this was what it was all about...a NEW toothbrush. But, I was so proud of her; she never moved once the hygienist started cleaning. Her teeth looked good for the most part. The enamel on her teeth is not good, but hopefully this will only be a problem on the baby teeth.

Then, we went and picked up her friend, Avery from daycare. I had made appointments for them at Merle Norman to get their nails done. This was such an experience for me too. All the women in there goo and gawd over these two pretty little girls. I'm not exaggerating when I say they looked for 10 minutes trying to decide on a color. Avery talked and talked to the lady doing her nails. (You would probably expect this if you read Sarah's blog; LOL) and Allie sat real quite like she was really concentrating on her nails. While they were getting them dried, Avery and Allie decided they wanted to paint people's fingernails when they grew up. The conversation was cute as I sat quietly and listened. Avery asked Allie if she wanted to work in the same building as her? Of course, Allie said yes.

After getting their nails done, we went to eat and then to the mall to play on the indoor play things. They both let out a lot of energy doing this. Stupid me decides to take them in the candy store after that. Needless to say, I got just a little bit stressed in there. Avery and Allie went opposite directions. Avery was filling up her bag as fast as she could and then I look over and Allie has got the handle pulled down on the M&M's and they are going all in the floor. Needless to say, I got them out of there as fast as I could and by the way , the candy is sold in there by the pound!

Last, we went to gymnastics where they let off some of their energy they had built up from all the candy they had eaten. The girls had a great time and it was so great to spend the day with the girls!

Easton & Mom's Day Out

My mom took Easton along with her friend with her grandson, Zack thru the underground cave at the Louisville Zoo. They also went to the Jefferson Mall and to Chuck E Cheeses. These pictures are at the Jefferson Mall where they have rides. I thought this picture of Easton up in the air looked like so much fun. Timmy and I may have to kids up there sometime........and ask if adults can get on this ride too.

Jr. Pro Basketball

Easton finished his first Jr. Pro basketball season. He really enjoyed this and learned a lot. Timmy was the assistant coach and I think he really learned a lot too.......more patience! Timmy says I need to tone it down a little in the games though. I can't help not to costantly yell from the sidelines telling Easton what to do. Basketball is my favorite sport and can't just sit still and watch.

A picture of Allie in the bleachers.

All the kids got trophies after the last game of the season.

And of course, Easton is always wrestling with someone.

Easton's Christmas Play

O.K. so I'm still posting pictures from December. Seems like I can't keep up with my own time. (Does that even make any sense?) Anyway, Easton was in his first play. It was at Lakewood and the whole school participated. Couldn't get very good pictures because it was so dark in there. Easton had so much fun and to listen to the songs was so cute!

Group Picture

Just wanted to say how great it is for such good friends! This picture was taken New Year's Eve and thought it was a good picture. Thank you Sarah and Gino for being there when I need you and being the friends you both are!!!

A Note to Self

Like most moms, I want to remember all the things my kids do and say. I'm adding this post to help me remember something, since I kind of use this blog as my journal. Chaz is 17 months old now and can completly overpower Allie. Only 3 pounds shy of Allie, Chaz is always taking toys away from her and pushing her down. He is really bad about sitting on her and taking what he wants. The other night in the bathtub, he gets on top of her and was jumping up and down. She was just hollering for mommy to come and help her. However, she does think it's funny a lot of the times. Just wanted to remember this brotherly and sisterly love!!!

Easton, Chaz and Ryan

Christmas Day we go to Timmy's mom & dad's house. This is our last Christmas gathering, which makes me kind of sad. There are always lots of great food. I wish everyone could see these kids open their presents. They are all ripping paper off at the same time and gifts are flying. I'm not sure that it lasts more than 2 minutes, no joke. They love it though. The kids got lots of great gifts too; and of course I didn't have time to take many pictures.

Christmas morning

Christmas morning is one of the best times of the year to me. I look so forward to this time and seeing my kids excitement. Having kids lets me see Christmas in a whole other perspective. I guess you could say it brings the kid out in me too. It seems like Christmas comes and goes so fast though. Of course, Easton and Allie got up at like 6:30 that morning ready to tear into their presents. I wouldn't let them go into the living room until Chaz had woke up. Didn't take them long to do that.

Easton had bought all of us presents from the Secret Santa shop at school and couldn't hardly wait for us to open them. Allie had wanted a DS for Christmas, but Santa didn't think she was quite old enough yet. She probably wouldn't have mentioned it after getting all her other presents but Easton kept asking her about it all day. He told her she must have been very naughty since she didn't get one. He got in a little trouble throughout the day over this. I keep telling her maybe for her birthday.
For some reason, Santa did not put mommy and daddy's presents in their stockings....they were wrapped under the tree.

Christmas Breakfast

This year, we did breakfast on Christmas Eve with my mom and dad. It worked out so good because the kids had all day to play with their new toys, plus the breakfast was really good. My mom and dad tend to go overboard I think with presents, but I'm not saying this as a complaint! Ha Ha I guess you could say this is one advantage of being an only child!!! Anyway, thank you so much mom and dad for everything you both do. My kids love their nammaw and dappaw (The kids call them this; don't know how these names ever got started) so much! The kids went to "I made it" and made a coffee cup for their pappaw and was so excited to give it to him. Except Chaz; all he cared about was his chocalate milk!

Easton was so excited to get a new DS game.

Christmas with the Johnsons & Straders

Wow, our kids are getting so big when I look at this picture. Every year, us close friends get together for our Christmas exchange. I have to say, this year's food was especially good! The kids had a blast too. And yes, Sarah posted this same picture, but I figured it was a cute enough to post twice.

Risner Christmas

This was actually pappaw's present but Chaz was trying to steal them!

Thanksgiving 2009

So, I'm a little behind on blogging. Christmas has taken up a lot of my time. We did Thanksgiving at my Aunt Rita and Uncle Red's house. It was a little chilly but the kids did play outside some. Easton was sick so he didn't get to come. Hopefully I'll get my Christmas pictures on here soon.
Chaz, Allie and Colin eating dinner.
All the cousins playing outside. And of course, Chaz wouldn't stand there so I had to be in the picture.
